Tim Benton • May 26, 2025

Training continues for Paul Price Events with expert tuition from Tim at Wight Training Services and top-tier telehandler action!

5 Quick takeaways

  • Tim Benton returned to the IOW Festival site to deliver more forklift training
  • Chanel Price was trained on the green Merlo telehandler
  • Connor Price took the reins of the red and yellow SANY
  • Another round of practical, professional, and fun instruction
  • Connor left a glowing 5-star Google review of the experience

Back on site and back in action—Tim Benton from Wight Training Services has been at the Isle of Wight Festival grounds again, this time working Connor and Chanel Price of Paul Price Events.

While Chanel took the controls of the mighty green Merlo FL80, Connor jumped into the SANY ST1440 and got stuck into some serious lifting. Both tackled the theory and practical elements of their forklift certification with confidence—and just a little competitive banter thrown in for good measure.

Connor even dropped us a 5-star Google review:

“Tim was great to work with, very knowledgeable, professional and fun. Would highly recommend Wight Training Services to anybody looking to do their own forklift course. Tim goes above and beyond to help with getting your certification and shows you all the different components you are not sure about with some of the more advanced and up to date forklifts. Could not fault Tim at all, will be doing it next time with Tim!”

Always good to hear! At Wight Training Services, we love seeing our trainees succeed, and it’s even better when it happens on such a spectacular site as the IOW Festival fields.

Whether you’re a festival pro or just looking to sharpen your skills, our forklift courses are designed to give you the confidence and competence you need.
